Rock bands come and go, but arnold jackson the band came and
went. From the year 2000 to the year 2005, arnold jackson the band nearly eclipsed their confusing bandname to become one of Chicago's most unapologetically local indie rock bands. Combining instrumentation as diverse as banjo, bells, guitar and answering machine, often in one song, with Black Bryson's cryptic yet sincere lyrics, they set out originally to play the Empty Bottle and disband. Fortunately for fans of emotive, original indie rock music, they failed at this endeavor and released two full length albums and two EPs in Chicago before getting on with their lives. This web site survives as a memorial to the indie rock band with a fictional boy's name-- arnold jackson the band. |
